Supportive housing

The Douglas Street Community provides low-barrier housing with a wide range of supports. This location also includes a shelter and a residential recovery program.

Residents at DSC live in studio-style rooms with full bathrooms and access to laundry services. PHS mental health workers are onsite 24/7 and our food program provides two meals a day.

Also based here is the 55-unit Arbutus Shelter, which provides 24/7 respite to people experiencing homelessness in the city. It’s low-barrier, with harm reduction and mental health supports.

Douglas Street Community Supportive Recovery Program is also located at this site. It provides an intensive six-month in-patient recovery program operated with PHS’s low-barrier approach, available to the widest range of participants.
