Supportive housing
The Dominion Hotel offers 63 low-barrier supportive housing units. Residents have access to PHS mental health workers, harm reduction and life skills support, home support staff to assist with suite upkeep and daily living, and daily meals through the PHS Food Program.
This three-storey masonry building, originally known as the Sherdahl Block, is an early example of Gastown hotel development. Constructed in the early twentieth century, the building reflects historic architectural styles of the era and has long served residents living above street-level commercial space.
PHS began operating Dominion Hotel in March 2026, continuing our commitment to providing low-barrier supportive housing.
