Supportive housing
An old Downtown Eastside hotel has been reconfigured and rebuilt to serve the entire community.
We’ve actually operated The Stanley on and off since 2001. Back then, it was a rather threadbare 78-unit SRO. It’s now a completely rebuilt mixed-use development. It includes 140 market rental apartments, 80 PHS-managed units of supportive housing and a row of street-level commercial spaces.
PHS supports and programming are in place for residents, including cultural support. Rooms have great light and a view. There are private washrooms, kitchenettes and walk-in showers. We are particularly pleased that some of the people moving into this supportive housing are returning residents from the original Stanley. Welcome back!
