Shelter, Clinical Supports

This innovative project involves the operation of a temporary 47-bed shelter at Victoria’s Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre arena.

Operating 24/7, residents will have sleeping pods for privacy, lockers for personal belongings and will receive three meals a day. There are embedded clinical services provided by Cool Aid Mobile Inner-City Outreach (CAMICO), an overdose prevention site operated by SOLID Outreach Society, and outreach staff to support a transition to permanent housing.

PHS operated at the Save-On-Foods arena in the spring and fall of 2020, successfully sheltering and subsequently housing around 50 people.
